In this video I talk about how I replaced My motor mounts in my 1997 Chevy Blazer 4.3L 4x4.!!! Disclaimer !!!!I am a Do It Yourself, also known as DIY, mech With the car running, hold the brake, put in drive, now press the gas a bit while holding the brakes. Do it in reverse also. BE CAREFUL lol. Have someone watch the engine if it's hard to see. If they are worn out you'll see the engine move around excessively. A little bit is normal. put trans in D, left foot firmly on brake, bring engine revs up to 1500-2000 very momentarily. hood up, watch for DS of engine to jump up sharply. If DS mount is good it will stay put but tense up. Same routine but in R will test PS mount. Have helper watch for engine movement if hard for you to see - but off to side in case car moves on accident. CbgDh.
