Although the Fenix 6 is generally better in almost every way, the HR is up to 40 BPM higher than the FR935. I’m 35 and it often has my HR at 170-185 for even easy runs, which suggests than I’m running at my max HR even though it’s 2-3 minutes slower than my marathon pace. The watch is great, but the HR data is utterly worthless.

For normal heart rate tracking while wearing the watch but not doing an activity, the optical sensor will continue working as normal.
