Mains voltage in the UK is actually 230V ± 10%, so 220V falls within this range. Note however that our mains frequency in the UK is 50Hz AC whereas apparently in Korea it is 60Hz. You will need to make sure that your appliance can handle both.
If the power *cord* is labeled 125V 7A, it is intended for 125V operation. You *should* buy a power cord rated for 220V, although in actual practice, a 125V cord with a plug adapter can run on 220V outlets. BUT, it's important to also verify the power adapter ("brick") will operate at 220V.
In the USA they have a mixed 120V/240V system which is why you can wire up a 240V outlet or a 120V outlet. However, in Europe there is only 240V (or 230V - whatever, close enough). To get 120V you need to transform it somehow - you can't do it just by shuffling wires around. Even in the USA, they use transformers to make the two different voltage.
